Hello there and welcome to the Sundered Lands Competition Page!

Over the coming months we plan on posting a whole lot of competitions for you to enter. And we have some great prizes lined up for the lucky winners. 

The winners of our new competition will each get a copy of the fifth Sundered Lands book Sargasso Skies, with a unique bookplate filled in by hand with your name, and signed by Gary and Allan. There will only be 10 of these special signed prizes available for this competition. That’s just TEN in the whole world. Imagine how envious people are going to be if you win one of them.

Lower down on this page you’ll see a downloadable wordsearch pdf. You will also see a list of ten words, each of which has something to do with the amazing and thrilling adventures that Trundle Boldoak and Esmeralda Lightfoot and their friends get caught up in the Sundered Lands series.

The Ten Words:

Here’s what you do. Download and print (or view onscreen) the pdf file, then hunt for these ten words in the wordsearch grid. But you’ll need to look carefully, because the words might read from side to side, left to right, or backwards, right to left. Or they might read top to bottom, or backwards bottom to top. Or they might even read diagonally, either forwards or backwards. 

But you’ll discover that only nine of the words can be found in the grid. The other one isn’t there. So, to enter the competition, all you need to do is make a note of the missing word and email it to:

If you are under the age of 14, you will need to get the permission of a parent or guardian before you enter the competition, because if you are a winner, you will need to give us your home address, and we don't want you handing over personal details like that without a parent or guardian knowing about it! You can tell them from us that we will definitely not be posting any of your personal information online - it will all be kept strictly confidential!

The closing date for entries is 30th April 2012, so get busy and send us that missing word so we can let you have one of those rare and desirable signed copies of Sargasso Skies. The winners will be chosen at random by having Trundle climb into a big sack and then picking out the first ten responses that get stuck onto his prickles. He will be blindfolded before he gets into the sack, so there’s no chance for any cheating.

Keep your eye on this page – we’re going to come up with more competitions in the future. More signed books will be given out as prizes, and we also plan to give the very luckiest winners of our most tricky and brain-scrambling competitions the opportunity to own one of the hand-coloured pieces of artwork that can be found on this website - signed by Gary Chalk and Allan Frewin Jones themselves! If you win one of these, you will have something that no one else in the entire Universe owns.
