The Ice Gate of Spyre

Was there ever in the whole of Sundered Lands an island more extraordinary than Spyre?

From the swampy, beast-infested jungles at the bottom, to the snowy mountain monastery at the top, the place is full of wonders…and dreadful dangers! It is on the frozen peaks that Trundle, Esmeralda and Jack must search for the fourth lost crown of the Badger Lords of Old: the Crown of Ice.

And as if they didn’t have enough troubles, they also have to deal with their new companion - a wild and crazy hare by the name of Ishmael March!

Battle rages in the skies

Fire Over Swallowhaven

Trundle, Esmeralda and Jack are racing across the skies, in search of the nest of the Glorious and Wondrous Phoenix Bird.

There they will surely find the Crown of Fire, third of the six lost crowns of the Badger Lords of Old.

Well, that's the plan, but first they must survive a terrible battle over the city of Swallowhaven - a battle with Captain Grizzletusk and his pirate fleet.

And if they do live to tell the tale, can they be sure in the end that the extraordinary Phoenix will choose to help them?

And will the song of the Glorious Phoenix bird that Jack sings help them at all, or is the whole thing just a legend?

And how exactly do you cope when you choose to rescue a loony old pirate cook whose main purpose in life seems to be driving everyone else as batty as he already is?

Tis of the glorious Phoenix bird, this story I shall tell

In a nest of gold at the end of the world, this wise old bird does dwell

The Phoenix comes from fire and flame and never saw a shell

Oh, the Phoenix bright is a lovely sight, and keeps his secret well!

Most marvellous and courteous bird with feathers red as flame

From Mithering to Jumper’s Beat afar has spread his fame

Bring his lost feather to his nest with good and noble aim

Oh, the Phoenix bold in his nest of gold his secret will proclaim

Fair Wind To Widdershins

Hidden deep within the crumbling Island City of Widdershins lies the Crown of Iron.

It's up to Trundle Boldoak, Jack Nimble and the Roamany Princess Esmeralda Lightfoot to find it. And there's nothing that can stop them! Well, except for Captain Grizzletusk and his pirate hoards, a deadly reef of rocks across their path, and armed guards patrolling the very place they need to search.

Still, at least the adventurers have Esmeralda's Aunt Millie, the Roamany Queen, to help them.

She'll get them out of trouble...won't she?

Trundle’s Quest

Trundle Boldoak likes his quiet life in the peaceful – some might say boring – little backwater island of Shiverstones. In the evenings his job is to light all the lamps of Port Shiverstones, and in the morning he snuffs them all out again. And in-between, he passes the time with his respectable neighbours, polishes the lass in the lamps and reads books about far lands and tremendous adventures.

His sleepy life is brought rudely awake when a strange and probably crazy Roamany girl named Esmeralda Lightfoot comes crashing in through his front door one evening. And one he allows Esmeralda over his threshold, things for Trundle are never the same again.

Esmeralda tells him that she has read a prophecy in the Ancient Badger Blocks of the Roamany people. The Blocks have told her that he is the one person in the whole of Sundered Lands who can – and must – help her to find the Six Crowns of the Badger Lords of Old, that have been scattered and hidden for thousands of years.

Before Trundle can gather his wits or finish his cabbage tea, Esmeralda whisks him off as a stowaway aboard a Windship bound for strange and distant lands. And as if that wasn’t unsettling enough for Trundle, he also learns that they have bloodthirsty and ferocious pirates on their trail! Pirates led by Captain Grizzletusk, an evil hog so foul and fearsome that he will stop at nothing to get his trotters on the Six Crowns and use their powers for his own nefarious purposes!

Together, the two animals must brave the dangers of being thrown off a windship in full sail; they must enter the warren of streets that make up the dreadful town of Rathanger and they must venture into the deep and dreadful mines of Drune, where shackled slaves are forced to work night and day for their dreadful overlords!

Can Trundle and Esmeralda hope to find the first crown – the Crown of Crystal – when the odds are stacked so heavily against them.

Only by reading the first book of the Sundered Lands series can you find out.

Trundle’s Quest. The adventure has only just begun!
